Website Terms

We Love Magalies is operated by the Magalies Business & Tourism Forum (MBTF). These terms apply when you browse the public website, use a directory or event link, submit information, or access an approved member workspace.

By using the relevant service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy & POPIA Notice. If you submit on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

The website is a discovery and referral platform. Unless a page expressly says otherwise, MBTF is not the accommodation provider, restaurant, activity operator, venue, organiser, ticketing provider, or professional shown in a listing.

Businesses remain responsible for their availability, pricing, licences, safety, service delivery, booking terms, refunds, and public information. Check material details directly with the relevant provider before travelling or purchasing.

Event dates, programmes, venues, capacity, pricing, and weather arrangements may change. The event organiser or ticketing provider's terms apply to a purchase or reservation completed on an external service.

A link to another website does not make MBTF responsible for that website or its transaction. When MBTF itself offers a payment flow, the checkout will display the applicable amount, purpose, and payment provider before payment is initiated.

Membership, listing, event, vendor, and contact submissions are requests for review. Submission does not guarantee approval, publication, membership, event acceptance, a vendor space, or a commercial relationship.

When you submit content, you confirm that:

• the information is accurate and not misleading;
• you have permission to provide the information and contact details;
• you hold the rights needed for any text, logo, image, or media supplied;
• the content does not infringe another person's rights or applicable law; and
• MBTF may contact you to verify, edit, approve, reject, or remove it.

You grant MBTF a non-exclusive licence to store, format, reproduce, and publish approved promotional content on the platform and related MBTF channels. You retain ownership of your original material.

Workspace access is invitation-based and tied to an approved Google account. You must keep access to that account secure, use only the permissions granted to you, and notify MBTF if access should be revoked or changed.

MBTF may suspend or remove access where an account is unauthorised, compromised, inactive, used outside its approved role, or linked to materially inaccurate or abusive activity.

You may not probe or bypass security controls, submit malware or automated spam, scrape the service in a way that disrupts it, impersonate another person, misuse contact information, interfere with availability, or use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, discriminatory, or harmful activity.

The We Love Magalies and MBTF names, visual identity, original editorial content, interface design, and platform code are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may link to public pages and share the supplied social links, but may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected material without permission. Third-party business names, logos, images, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

MBTF works to keep the platform secure, available, and accurate, but maintenance, provider outages, connectivity failures, or incorrect third-party information can affect the service. We may correct content, withdraw unsafe links, or temporarily restrict features when reasonably necessary.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by South African law, MBTF is responsible for loss directly caused by its own unlawful or negligent operation of the platform, but not for an independent provider's service, an external website, user-supplied misinformation, or indirect loss outside MBTF's reasonable control.

These terms are governed by South African law. We may update them when public features, business arrangements, or legal requirements change. The current version and revision date will be published here.
