Vice Chairperson
Bernard is MBTF’s Vice Chairperson and the owner of Black Horse Restaurant & Brewery. A hands-on hospitality entrepreneur, he brings together food, brewing, events, agriculture and local producers while creating memorable guest experiences and supporting tourism, employment and sustainable business growth in Magaliesburg.
Treasurer
Angela serves as MBTF’s Treasurer and owns Tops, Ultra Liquors and Magalies Liquor Wholesaler. Her journey began at Spar in Magaliesburg, and her businesses reflect a commitment to personal service, strong local relationships and giving back to the community.
Advertising, Social Media & MRtC
Catherine leads MBTF’s social media, helping promote local businesses and the Magalies region. She runs Imbabali Retreat & Venue and manages operations for Greg Rollinson Pianos, bringing experience in corporate management, hospitality and community work.

Hannelie is a pharmacist, owner of the LifeStyle Pharmacy Group and a founding member of MBTF. Through local businesses, Magalies Rocks the Cradle, tourism maps and the Information Centre, she helps promote Magaliesburg and supports the people and businesses that make it distinctive.
Aesthetics & Gardens
Elizabeth leads MBTF’s Aesthetics & Gardens portfolio and runs Oude Doornbosch Cottages. A librarian by profession and former bookselling business owner, she brings experience in industry leadership and landscape design, with a wish to help make Magaliesburg a clean, attractive town.
Supporting Portfolio Gardens & Aesthetics & Fund Raising
Louis is a director of Steenkoppies Estate and the owner of Hair by Louis. A former forum chairperson, he now supports Magaliesburg’s beautification and fundraising, drawing on experience across the creative industries, finance, tourism and hospitality.
Supporting Portfolio Liaison & Community
Peter brings more than three decades of experience in the taxi industry and has served in several executive portfolios within the local taxi association. With training in administration, customer care and defensive driving, he supports community liaison on the MBTF Executive.
Supporting Portfolio History & Stories
Rob is a registered national cultural and site tour guide, author and heritage researcher with four decades of field experience. He leads geoheritage, battlefield and petroglyph tours, curates the Plumari Heritage Museum and represents cultural heritage on the MBTF Executive.
Supporting Portfolio Legal & Regulatory & Mogale City & Gautrans
Gerard is a director and attorney at Hattingh Scholtz Attorneys and a former Member of Parliament. A fourth-generation Magaliesburger and joint owner of Steenkoppies Estate Guest House and Accommodation, he brings legal experience and an interest in governance, service delivery and community liaison.
Executive Member – Magalies Farmer's Market
Christine represents the Magalies Farmer’s Market on the MBTF Executive. After a career in IT consulting and strategy, she co-founded the market in 2025, creating a welcoming space for local produce, crafts and stronger community connections.
